Benefits for a Mining Engineer in joining a company this size:
Flexibility to develop the role; design and implement the changes you deem necessary
Don’t get pidgeonholed – regular rotations through positions will give you a stronger foundation in Mining Engineering, before moving to a Senior role
Flatter structure, streamlined approval process, direct relations with senior management
According to the Superintendent , the success of this site can be attributed to the lack of egos onsite, and open, easy communication between the departments and within the teams.
A Mining Engineer I placed there last year is specifically enjoying:
the team culture and training
a fully staffed Tech Services team lets him focus on development and improvement initiatives, and
not having the heavy internal politics he was used to
Personal development comes from role variety, project involvement, as well as training, but ultimately, you set your pace.
FIFO on a 8:6 roster from any capital city in Australia.
2-5 years in open pit environments and a related degree required. Residential option available with subsidised housing.

Being on the cusp of a Senior role, no doubt you are thinking further ahead, and starting to map out your longer term career...
While there are a lot of OP Mining Engineer roles kicking around right now, if you are focussed on getting the skills and qualifications to become a Mining Manager later down the track, this option should be seriously considered.
Spend your 6-12 months rounding out your experience and getting to know the in's and out's of the site - D&B, production, short-term planning, etc
Your practical, real world approach to mining will be valued, and as the go-between for planning and operations, naturally your communication skills need to be top-notch
Next, step into the Senior Engineer role and get into long term planning and project work, as well as honing those metoring skills
Because the Tech Services Superintendent's role is the the more medium term plan for this role, you'll have room to take on extra responsibility.
It's on a FIFO 8:6 roster from any Australian capital city. Camp is well run, with a healthy social scene.
To be considered you will need at least 2 years of OP mining experience in Australia and a related mining degree.
Enough? Hit the APPLY button below and I will get back to you on a confidential basis.
