CURRUMBIN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY is seeking an experienced Show Presenter with excellent customer service and the ability to capably shear sheep to become a full time member of the CWS Presentations team, within our Wildlife department.  Position details & duties As part of the Wildlife Presentations team, you will present the animal shows to our park guests. You will be required to provide entertaining commentary about Wildlife mammals, reptiles and birds such as eagles and lorikeets.  This role will also includes presenting the Sheep Show, where you demonstrate how to shear a sheep, and explain elements of the Aussie sheep shearing tradition to international and Australian guests.  The role also involves animal husbandry & care of sheep, training & conditioning, animal handling, hosting large group presentations and participating in photo sessions.  You will need to be personable, professional, energetic and enthusiastic, with an appropriate level of general Aussie shearing & Aussie wildlife knowledge and skills.  ·           Weekend work is a regular requirement of this role. ·           Pay rate & conditions at Grade 3 or 4 under Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2010, as appropriate. ·           This is an outdoor role in a non-smoking environment.  Selection Criteria: 1.      Ability to deliver entertaining and memorable presentations to park visitors of all nationalities . 2.      Experience in sheep shearing & handling sheep is essential. 3.      Demonstrated experience in animal training /wildlife husbandry is required. 4.      High standard of personal presentation and ability to communicate clearly in English is required. 5.      Appropriate fitness to walk long distances, and ability to carry up to 10kg for a prolonged period. 6.      Manual driver’s licence is essential; current First Aid qualifications would be an advantage. 7.      Must have full availability over all Qld and NSW school holiday periods. 8.      You must be flexible and reliable, with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. 9.      Previous experience in the zoo industry or animal based tourism environment is desirable.  How to Apply Please forward your application via email to the Human Resource Manager with the job title and your name in the subject line.
